I studied interpreting at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, and I did my master's degree in translation at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile

Interpreting
On-site services provided in the Metropolitan Region, Valparaíso Region and its surrounding areas
If you need simultaneous interpreting equipment (booth, receivers and headsets), I can put you in touch with a trusted provider. Their quote is separate from mine and is handled directly with them.
Consecutive interpreting
Recommended for small meetings (up to 20 people approximately)
Requires more time (the speaker has to pause so that the interpreter can deliver the message)
Simultaneous Interpreting
Recommended for big events, such as conferences or lectures
The interpreter uses a booth or special equipment to translate the speech while the speaker is talking
Remote interpreting
Recommended for webinars, lectures, and meetings in which the participants are in different geographical locations connected online
Zoom Meetings interpreting tool can be used (it has to be set up by the host) for simultaneous interpreting, although consecutive interpreting can be used as well

Translation
General and specialized translation
Translation of non-specialized texts, such as webpages and research abstracts, among others, from English to Spanish and vice versa.
Specialized translation (mental health, psychology, medicine, pharmacology, social sciences, etc.) from English into Spanish.
Audiovisual Translation
Translation of audiovisual material, subtitling, and closed captions.
Use of tools such as Subtitle Edit and Premiere Pro.
Literary Translation
Translation of literary content such as books, short stories, compilations, essays, and many more

Text Editing and Revision
Spanish Text Revision
Revision of Spanish written texts. Could be columns, research articles, theses, and others.
The criteria used for the review are agreed in advance with the client.
It includes highlighting all the mistakes made in the text.

Editing of Spanish written articles, columns, theses, research papers, etc.
The editing is carried out in accordance with the parameters agreed in advance with the client.
It includes fixing all the mistakes made in the text.

From inquiry to delivery
This is what you can expect when you choose my services.
Inquiry: Tell me about the type of service, dates, theme, and languages. If it's about translation, remember telling me about the word count, pages, and deadline (I usually reply within 24 hours).
Quote: I send you a proposal with the pricing, turnaround time, and policies.
Confirmation: You agree with it and then we work on the details (payment, material, platform, etc.).
Preparation: I review the material and glossaries for the service.
Service: This is where the "magic happens," and I actually perform the service as agreed.
Delivery and closure: I complete the interpreting sesion or deliver the text, and we work on the final details.
Feedback: After working with someone, I like to know their opinion and satisfaction with the services.
Pricing depends on urgency (how many days I have to prepare beforehand), duration, length, and format. The more specific you are in your first inquiry, the faster we can reach an agreement.
Don't forget to clarify the type of services, language pair, date, duration, word count, and the theme of the text or event.
I usually take up to 24 hours to write back!
